The recorder app and the site keep working when Forever leaves beta, with tamper-proof updates

The recorder app that sends your game data to the site only recognised the beta client. A launch or even a new beta patch would have stopped uploads without a word. We are fixing that.

- The list of accepted game clients and realms now comes from the site. A launch needs a data update, not a new app. - The site accepts saves from any listed client, and new realms show their auction houses right away. - If the app finds a game client it does not recognise, it names it instead of going quiet. - App updates are signed. In testing, an altered or unsigned update was refused, and a valid one installed.

These changes reach players with the next app release, which installed copies pick up on their own. A translated message on the site for unrecognised clients is still to come.
